Welcome to Dark Universe

UMU Begins “March of Mummies”!

Happy March 1st, monsters!  We’ve been operating for almost a month and first we’d like to thank everyone that’s been following Universal Monsters Universe.  Both Joe and I are very excited for the in-development UMU, just as much as many of you (and us) are excited for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the upcoming DC Films.

boris_karloff2So March is going to be an exciting month for us and we hope for you as well as we begin “March of Mummies”, a month devoted to Universal Studios classic Mummy films from the 1932 original to 2008’s Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.  The Mummy has always been my favorite of the Universal Monsters and as we anticipate production on 2017’s Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella reboot, we have a tomb filled with mummies to unearth for all of you.

While the whole month won’t be filled with just the gauze wrapped monster of the Universal Monsters library, we will be looking towards this character for the inspiration of content we’re sure you’ll enjoy.  If you’re excited, curious, or just a Universal Monsters Universe fan, then be sure to stick around.

Also, we welcome all comments, recommendations, and insights.  And, if you happen to have the Book of the Dead but can’t figure out how to open it, don’t worry – we have the key!
