Visit The Mummy

EXCL: The Mummy Principal Photography Set.

That’s it, monsters.  After a fun “March of Mummies” themed month of ‘Mummy’ coverage, Universal Monsters Universe is getting ready to place the lid back over the tomb of one of Universal’s most beloved creatures.  While we had fun doing mostly exclusive ‘Mummy’ stuff for March, it is a new month and to keep things lively we’ll be getting back to our regular mix of content.  We really hope you enjoyed our content as much as we had writing it and presenting it to you.  As always, thank you for supporting us and continually entering the Universal Monsters Universe.

Just because we’re about to start a new month doesn’t mean we’re completely done with The Mummy.  In fact we do have one last bit of news to close out “March of Mummies.”  And it’s something we’re pretty excited to share too.

Production and principal photography for The Mummy is set for the week of April 4th, 2016!

The Mummy, directed by Alex Kurtzman and starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, and Marwan Kenzari is a week away from shooting.  Production and principal photography for The Mummy is set for the week of April 4th, 2016!  We received this scoop from a very reputable source (and if you follow us on Twitter, or me or Joe, you’ll know just a little more too.)

March has been an exciting month for fans of The Mummy with the casting of Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, and Marwan Kenzari.  April should be even more entertaining as principal photography starts so stay tuned to Universal Monsters Universe.

In the meantime, may I recommend checking out Joe’s fantastic profile and Elizabeth Georgiou, the hair and markeup artist on The Mummy, along with my very own profile on Sofia Boutella?

…But “March of Mummies” is over so if you’re a fan of Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, we’re sorry we didn’t cover that film (at least not yet 😉
