Penny Dreadful

Ahead of the following episode of SHOWTIME’s Penny Dreadful season three, we have an advance look at a few clips from the next episode – “Predators Far and Near.”

“Predators Far and Near” – airs 5/8/2016

Directed by Damon Thomas

Written by John Logan

Lily (Billie Piper) and Dorian (Reeve Carney), rescue a young woman. Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) continues on his journey with the enigmatic Kaetenay (Wes Studi). Meanwhile, Ethan gets some unexpected help from Hecate (Sarah Greene). Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) and Dr. Jekyll (Shazad Latif) hatch a plan. Vanessa’s relationship with Dr. Sweet (Christian Camargo) grows but, unbeknownst to her, evil forces are tracking her every move.

I’ve actually been re-watching season one; if you haven’t been watching Penny Dreadful and you’re a fan of the Universal Monsters, you may want to consider giving it a look.  Seasons one and two are available on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital and showcase some of the great literary characters that inspired the Universal classics such as Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  SHOWTIME’s popular series also features the likes of Dorian Gray and The Wolf Man.

You could expect the Universal Monsters Universe review of “Predators Far and Near” this week.  But until then, we hope you enjoy a few clips from this week’s episode below

Penny Dreadful airs Sunday nights at 10 PM ET on SHOWTIME.  Check your local listings.
