Universal Monsters Universe announces its first contest/giveaway winner – Crystal S of Michigan! Thank you to everyone that entered. This was the first contest of many.
On May 11th, Universal Monsters Universe launched its first contest to celebrate its three month anniversary. In partnership with Royal Collectibles, the biggest comic shop in Queens, New York, we decided to provide one lucky winner with the complete set of Sideshow Universal Monsters “Little Big Heads” from series one.
This Wednesday a winner was randomly selected and we are proud to announce Crystal S of Michigan as the lucky person to win our first contest/giveaway. They’ve been shipped out and we know they’re going to someone that loves the Universal Monsters.
The team at Universal Monsters Universe would first like to thank everyone that entered our first contest. The response to the giveaway was great as we saw entries come in through not only the site, but Facebook and Twitter as well. We’re in the planning stages of announcing a new contest/giveaway or two within the coming month and we hope that you all find it just as cool as our first one. There’s also some thought being put into running an exclusive Facebook giveaway that will be held directly on our Facebook page so be sure to give us a “like” over there if you haven’t already and keep an eye out for that.
Thanks again to everyone that has read, enjoyed, commented, shared and continually supported us at Universal Monsters Universe. We appreciate each and every one of you and we’re certain the best is yet to come. There’s a lot of fun things going on here like UMU’s Rob Texter’s weekend column “Sunday’s with…” in which he explores a various horror director’s movies. His last two on The Thing and They Live are definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already. We’ve also had Chuck Suffel of What’cha Reading contribute two really great pieces on Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and “She-Wolf of London” which we know you really enjoyed. As always, we have Zakiyah DeVaughn providing our weekly insight into SHOWTIME’s Penny Dreadful and Rick Vaca doing his “Let’s Talk…” series on various Universal classics such as Dracula and The Mummy.
As always, you could count on me for any and all regular updates on the currently in development The Mummy which opens next year – June 9, 2017 and our next weekly recap of filming could be here on UMU tomorrow!
