Connecticut “CT HorrorFest” has been a yearly celebration of all things monsters and horror since its inception in 2014. If you live in the Tri-State Area/Northeast United States, you love monsters (especially The Creature From The Black Lagoon) and are free on Saturday, August 27th then this is the show for you!
When we in the comic and entertainment world hear the term “con” we think of New York Comic Con, San Diego Comic Con, Wizard World and C2E2. However, there are smaller cons out there that cater specifically to horror and monsters such as Walker Stalker Con and Jersey Fest. We recently learned of CT HorrorFest through social media and the internet when it was announced that Ricou Browning, underwater Gill-Man in The Creature From The Black Lagoon, will appear at the show. Browning is the only surviving original Universal Monster. Universal Monsters Universe is proud to be attending the show as part of its “Creature Week” coverage.
CT HorrorFest is presented by Horror News Network, a website started by Rob Caprilozzi in 2004 which is dedicated to all things horror including news, interviews and coverage of horror-themed events. This year’s event is being held in Danbury, CT where fans can meet Ricou Browning as well as sit in on a panel where he will be interviewed by Rob Caprilozzi. There are many other great guests including the legendary George Romero with The Evil Dead stars Ellen Sandweiss, Betsy Baker and Theresa Tilly, Gremlins star Zach Galligan and American Horror Story: Freak Show‘s Erika Ervin to name a few. There will also be plenty of vendors if you’re looking for a souvenir or something unique to remember your visit by.
