Will the new “The Mummy” trailer debut this Sunday, April 2nd?

Since the debut of the first trailer for The Mummy, along with the “Inside Look,” and the BTS Zero G video, everyone has been asking “when is the next ‘Mummy’ trailer coming?” It’s something we’re always asked and for a few weeks now we’ve said that the trailer would premiere on or around April 7th. However, with Consumer Protection BC having just classified and rated a new trailer for the upcoming Universal Monsters film, it appears as if The Mummy will be awakened a bit earlier than we thought.

According to Trailer-Track, “there’s a chance it may debut, like the previous trailer, during The Walking Dead finale this Sunday.” While we cannot confirm or deny that, we would agree with that assumption as the trailers for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and The Mummy premiered during AMC’s The Walking Dead. For fans that don’t have access to watching The Walking Dead, it’s a near certainty that The Mummy trailer will premiere online alongside its television debut.

The Mummy trailer #3 has a 2 min and 31 second length and will be attached to Universal’s The Fate of the Furious. With 2 min and 31 sec, that’s more than enough time for audiences to be teased and welcomed to a new world of gods and monsters… and Tom Cruise stunts!

As always, stay tuned to Universal Monsters Universe for the latest on The Mummy.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman, from a script by Jon Spaihts, Dylan Kussman, and Christopher McQuarrie. The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Marwan Kenzari, Courtney B. Vance, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella. The film opens June 9, 2017.
