Sofia Boutella Shows Us Why The Mummy Is Worth Paying For

The Mummy

Sofia Boutella featured in a new UK promo for The Mummy!

We are only 23 days away from the premiere of The Mummy which means trailers and clips such as a teaser of Russell Crowe’s Dr. Jekyll are being released in full force!  Across the pond in the United Kingdom, a new promo clip starring Ahmanet herself, Sofia Boutella, has been released and she does a great job convincing us (and everyone else) to go see the movie.  It is part of The Industry Trust’s “Moments Worth Paying For” campaign to raise appreciation for movies and television as well as give access to legal online movie and television viewing services.  You can view the clip below.

Between Sofia, the beautiful sites of London and movie clips set to “Paint It Black,” how can you not be pumped up for this movie?  It truly is a new world of gods and monsters as Universal takes us on the first leg of a journey into the new Monsters Universe.

As always, stay tuned to Universal Monsters Universe for the latest on The Mummy and the Universal Monsters Universe of films.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman, from a script by Jon Spaihts, Dylan Kussman, and Christopher McQuarrie. The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Marwan Kenzari, Courtney B. Vance, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella. The film opens June 9, 2017.
