Annabelle Wallis talks everything The Mummy!

We are only one week away from the theatrical release of The Mummy which means there is plenty to talk about and plenty to learn.  We have seen the trailers, the posters and the promo material but now we are getting some behind-the-scenes tidbits from cast members.  Courtney B. Vance shared his experience as Col. Greenway and now an interview with Annabelle Wallis has been posted where she talks about her character, Jenny Halsey.

“Jenny is a lot of the heart of the film and the emotional compass in many ways.”  From this line alone, Annabelle says a lot about Jenny’s role in the film and the impact she will have on it.  One part of that impact is her history with Ahmanet.  She reveals a surprising fact about that history and how far back it goes.  This certainly changes everything we know so far about the film and the characters of Jenny and Ahmanet.  When it comes to Tom Cruise’s Nick Morton, she describes him as “quite a mischievous character who comes along her path.”  For more about Jenny and The Mummy, click on the video below.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy is directed by Alex Kurtzman, from a script by Jon Spaihts, Dylan Kussman, and Christopher McQuarrie. The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Marwan Kenzari, Courtney B. Vance, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella. The film opens June 9, 2017.
